Peter ends his extremely successful 2008 with a sold-out Christmas tour, standing ovations from the audience and fantastic reviews. His special Christmas album for World Childhood Foundation sells an outstanding 150.000 units which makes it triple platinum. In Norway this album certified Gold status. Peter's original Christmas album "Jag kommer hem igen till jul" is now over 400.000 units.
In march and april Peter did a sold-out tour in Norway. The tour runs for three weeks to great critical and audience acclaim. Peter releases a DVD with his concert; "Peter Jöback live at Oscars". In the summer Peter teams up with Swedish icon Eva Dahlgren for a Scandinavian tour "Himlen är inget tak". They also record a live-CD exclusively sold at the venues for the Red Cross.
During the autumn Peter received unanimous praise from the critics and audience for his “Elva Veckor Elva Städer” (”Eleven Weeks Eleven Cities”)-Scandinavian tour. The tour was extended with 9 new dates during the spring 2008. In connection with the tour première the Platinum selling studio album “Människor som du och jag” was released in Sweden and later in Norway and Finland. Peter was nominated for a Swedish Grammy.
Peter records a duet with Swedish indie pop band Laakso ”Italy vs Helsinki” which is released on Laaksos album and chosen as their first single.
Cabaret moved to Gothenburg for a final successful season which ended end of April. Peter records a brand new album with songwriters Niclas Frisk and Andreas Mattsson. First single "Stockholm i natt" just released.
In the summerbreak of Cabaret, Peter releases a double-album with 2 new songs and 32 from his previous records. The album reaches Gold status in Norway, well over Platinum in Sweden making it the bestselling album in Sweden in 2006.
Peter stars as the MC in a hugely successful production of "Cabaret" in Stockholm. He receives his second Golden Mask (Tony award) for his performance and the show is a knock-out both with critics and audience, running both spring- and autumn season.
Peter makes his first solo-tour in Norway to enormous critical and public acclaim. His "Storybook" album passes Gold status and is approaching Platinum.
In December Peter is special guest on the Norwegian superstar Ms Sissel Kyrkjebö's Christmas tour in Norway.

Peter releases "Storybook" in the autumn with classic songs, recorded with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Nick Davies. They did two concerts at the Globe Arena in Stockholm and Scandinavium Arena in Gothenburg in Sweden with conductor Anders Eljas. "Storybook" reaches the no. 1 position on the Swedish saleschart and passes Gold status.
During the spring Peter releases "Det här är platsen". It reaches no. 1 on the Swedish saleschart and gives him a Gold record award. The album receives fantastic reviews. In the autumn he goes on tour with this album and receives equally amazing reviews.
Peter records a duet with Norweigan superstar Sissel Kyrkjebö. His Christmas album is re-released and reaches the No. 1 spot again on the Swedish charts. The album is also a platinum-album in Norway. Peter makes a new Christmas tour to even higher praise from media and audience.
Peter stars as the MC in Cabaret at Gladsaxe Theatre in Copenhagen where Sally Bowles is played by Paprika Steen/Charlotte Munck. Peter receives fantastic reviews for his interpretation of the role.
In November Peter released a Christmas album in Swedish which held the No. 1 position for five weeks and gave him another Platinum award as well as a Grammynomination. Peter also did a sold-out and highly critically acclaimed Christmas Tour in Scandinavia.
In March Peter released new album "I Feel Good And I'm Worth It" which entered the Swedish salescharts at No. 2
Returns to Sweden in the summer and takes part in the original concertversion of "Kristina from Duvemåla" and later makes his own sold-out pop-tour.
Still in London Peter is voted "Male Artist of the Year" by Swedish Radiostation NRJ
Peter released his first English popalbum, "Only When I Breathe" in September. The album reached the No. 1 position in our salescharts, the first single peaked at No. 2 and both album and single have passed the Platinum award limit.
Peter gets an original part in the new Cameron MacIntosh production of "The Witches of Eastwick" which has its worldwide premiere at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London July 18.
Peter does the Swedish voice of the title role "Stuart Little" for the US box office film success.

Peter breaks all records at the Swedish National Radiochart when his hitsingle "The Gold Turned Into Sand" from the cast album "Kristina from Duvemåla" spends 110 weeks in the chart, holding the No. 1 position for 36 weeks. The single has received Platinum Status in Sweden. The song was also voted "Song of the Year" by the Swedish people in National TV Channel Four.
